Q1) How can we help a family which we have chosen?

Depending on the situation of the family, the number of members in the family, and their needs, you can donate a suitable amount monthly.

Q2) Who will benefit by this project?

All those affected in our homeland:

1)    children who lost their parents or relatives

2)    widows

3)    disabled

4)    elders without support

5)    those below poverty line

Q3) Will there be an intermediary who will receive the donation?

No. There will not be any intermediary at all. The donor will have direct communication with the recipient

Q4 )Who will co-ordinate the project?

‘Ray of Hope’ will coordinate the people’s organisations abroad, tamil media, community centres, old student associations, religious bodies, student bodies, sports associations, etc.

Q5) How will ‘Ray of Hope’ identify those affected?

Those who claim to be affected will be scrutinized by the welfare organisations, religious bodies, individuals and other voluntary bodies at home and their names will then be annexed to a central register in Eelam.

Q6) What shall we do if we start helping someone but if due to circumstances we couldn’t continue to offer much support any more?

In such a situation, the recipient will be absorbed back into the central data registry. Then someone else will take over and continue to help.

Q7) My child is 4 years old. I wish to help a child of a similar age. Will this be possible?

Since you are going to give the details as to whom you would like to help to the organisations in your country, they will choose a family to meet your request.

Q8) Will there be any legal implications by helping in this project?

The help you render is similar to the help you are providing to one of your family members. You are going to contact the recipient family directly and help them; hence there is nothing to worry about with regards to legal problems.
