Philosophically everything in this world, whether it be created naturally or artificially, has its life period. But due to environmental disasters and man made disasters created by imperialistic forces, thousands of valuable lives have been destroyed.

In this respect, in Sri Lanka (Tamil Eelam) our race has been destroyed for decades by the war. Since May 2009, our Tamil race has lost relatives and property on an unparalleled scale and is on the verge of destruction.

Those who were lucky to be alive however are living under miserable and appalling conditions in camps, hospitals where they do not receive even the basic necessities of life. Those who were supposed to have been rehabitated do not have the means to get their accommodation, food or clothes even on their own land.

‘Ray of Hope’ is an institution established solely for the purpose of meeting the very basic needs of our helpless brother and sisters and rescuing them not only physically but also from their mental state of depression.
